Groups of 10 or more are required to reserve entry to the Basilica.

Booking is free and is done simply to control entry to the Church, for reasons of safety and room inside the precinct. Booking does not provide any right of priority entry nor does it automatically include in the ticket price the presence of a tour guide or audio guide to the Church.

However, for those who wish, from March to October, 09.30 to 13.30, you can hire audio guides, available in five languages at the front desk. The cost of this service is €5.00 for individual visitors; €3.50 for under 18s, over 65s, students, or additional audio-guides; €2.50 per person for groups and during Happy Hour. An identity card/passport must be provided.

Additionally, at four different points in the Church video guides have been installed to provide 3-4 minute audio commentaries in five languages, accompanied by images and video displayed on the monitor. The service costs €1.00.

To book please complete and send us the following booking form. An answer to your request – either a confirmation or a possible modification of the reservation request – will be sent within two working days of receipt, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Groups visiting the Church of Santa Maria Novella, as well as individual visitors are required to comply strictly with the Rules and Regulation available in this section of the website.
